Exposure Draft of Model Curriculum

Accounting has been recognised as a separate subject discipline in many parts of the world including USA, Canada, China, Japan Australia, New Zealand etc. With a motive to establish the subject as a separate discipline in India also and standardize its curriculum in the country, IAA took an initiative to come forth with a Model Curriculum for undergraduate, postgraduate, add-on, job-oriented and certificate courses in accounting. Following committee was constituted during July 2020 comprising of eminent experts of the subject, who happen to be senior past presidents of the association also:

  • Prof K R Sharma - Chairman
  • Prof K Eresi - Member
  • Prof K V Achalapathi - Member

The committee had series of meetings and deliberations and with marathon efforts has come up with Exposure Draft of the Model Curriculum.

The academic and professional fraternity is requested to go through the document thoroughly and submit their comments and observations on the same latest by Feb. 28, 2021. This shall help the committee to further examine the contents and finalise the draft. We express, in anticipation, our gratitude to all those who will contribute to this major academic endeavour by sharing their valuable views.
